Reddit marketing for a SaaS without getting banned: a 5-rule checklist

Reddit can send your first customers, but self-promotion done badly gets you removed fast. This checklist keeps you on the right side of the rules.

1. Be useful before you link

Write a complete answer that works without clicking anything. A link is a bonus, not the answer.

2. Disclose that you are the maker

"I built X" in one sentence. Hidden promotion is what gets accounts banned and screenshots shared.

3. Read each subreddit's rules

Some ban links, some allow them only in a weekly thread. Check the sidebar and pinned posts every time.

4. Pick threads with real intent

"Alternative to Y?", "Any tool for X?" posts, fresh (under 48h), with few replies. Skip off-topic threads even if the keyword matches.

5. Keep a steady, small rhythm

Three good replies a day beat thirty copy-pastes. Vary wording, never reuse a template verbatim.

ThreadRadar finds those threads daily and drafts a reply you post from your own account, with the rules in mind.
